I have a lot to learn.
And tons to set up.
I will be back to my regularly scheduled program at the end of the week.
Yeah, a bad influence on my checking account.
Check it. Nail Lacquer it “Bad Influence”
Something about it reminds me of a couple coveted Chanel nail colors….Since we are less than two weeks for Christmas here is my suggestion should you want to stuff some Nars into a stocking.
While you’re at it can you pick one up for me? I am now addicted to their lacquers. Thanks 🙂
This palette one of the items I ordered during Eve Pearl’s recent promotion. I’ve wanted it for some time now, and have no clue why I waited so song. The pics on the website don’t do it justice, I needed to show you it swatched. Eve also has tons of videos where she uses it. Check out her youtube channel.
The colors are extremely rich, and I will be getting a back up for use in my kit.
Can’t wait to use this !
Three years later I am still waiting on a windfall so that I can splurge on these scarves by Giles. Do you remember the texture feature in the Vogue September 2007 issue of Vogue? Yeah. This runs deep folks. I even called myself trying to source yarn with a big enough ply locally so I could make it myself. I was basically laughed at.
Don’t you just want to snuggle up under one of these puppies? I can’t have the Giles, and can’t run the streets without protecting myself from being an italian icey so here are some options.
Here is another polish I have by Ginger and Liz. Loves it!
Don’t forget about their promo on Tuesday! use the code “POLISHED” to receive 40% off your order. I definitely have a few more color colors on my wish list 🙂
Don’t forget to enter the giveaway!
A little Feliz Navidad early! You can win one of the hard to find (or so I have been told) palettes.
Entry is soooo easy. You have two ways to enter.

For a second entry leave a comment on my facebook saying you entered the giveaway.
Winner will be chosen next Friday!
Here is the latest and greatest from YSL, Rouge Pur Couture lipsticks. These are the two that I own. In my humble opinion, YSL is an industry leader when it comes to lipstick. The textures, palettes and packaging are A-mazing. The pur couture lipsticks are a cross between rouge volupte (pronounce VOL-UP-TAY,lol) and rouge pur. It’s a happy medium for those that may feel that the volupte was too creamy.
I have No.1 and No.2 (exclusive to Sephora)
No.1 is a more orange red, the No.20 is more blue, both very wearable.
Have you tried anything from YSL lately?
Welp. We have about four more months of old man winter, four more months of darkness beginning at like 2pm (or so it feels like), etc. The cold and early sunsets reak havoc on our complexions, rendering us pale, sallow and sometimes flaky.
Here is what I do to preserve my sexy. Of course it starts with skin care.
I wash my face with Ole Henriksen’s African Red Tea foaming cleanser. It soothes and does not over dry- I have oily skin, but still ensure my face is not zapped of all moisture. Next I apply Fresh’s soy face serum, it restores moisture and keeps it hydrated. For day time I use Ole’s truth serum, packed with 10% vitamin C- it brightens and gives radiance like no other. Next I follow up with Ole’s Truth revealed day moisturizer, which also contains vitamin C. Lately, at night, I use Kinerase’s night time moisturizer, it is extremely rich (I could never use a very rich cream in the day time) to keep my face supple, the heat can be the devil.
Every so often I exfoliate with Fresh’s soy face exfoliant, it gets the job done, without being to harsh.
Here are the above mentioned products, click for more details.
As far as make up goes, I don’t think that because it is winter you have to be chained to dark colors. Apply a little of bronzer to warm your skin up. Pick either your lips or cheeks to add a pop of unexpected color.
Here are some recommendations

Yeah, another post about that damn Pink Friday lipstick…. I’ve heard many comparisons to Viva Glam Gaga as well as St.Germain….Welp your homie here lover of lipsticks dug into the stash and snapped some shots.
left to right; Viva Glam “Gaga”(lustre), Pink Friday (satin), St.Germain (amplified)
Welp, there you have it. For me, Pink Friday is actually the most different between the three. While all three are pale pinks, Pink Friday is deeper in color.
What say you?
