Frugal Fashionista : Stylish Vince Camuto shoes all under $100

6 Dec

Not sure about the rest of the country, but I am still very much pinching my pennies these days. In fact, after looking through my make up I have found 912381 products I rarely use and some even are still in their original packaging.FOR SHAME! I put myself on a make up no buy until January 5th. During the next month, I hope to be able to swatch and review the many products I have stashed in my apt. And furthermore save some cash! I haven’t really spent much money on clothing and shoes-which I actually do need, believe it or not.

I hope to also blog more about less expensive fashion and give you make up looks with drugstore products, like this one.

Anyway, I’m really digging footwear from Vince Camuto. He has some cute and stylish things and I managed to find several pairs for under $100. Check em’ out…let me know what you think. Do any of you own any of his shoes?

Current Obsession: Lace up Boots.

26 Oct

I have added two pair to my wants  needs list. I love the versatility of them. I’ve seen them dressed up and down. Even the flat ones are sexy and pull together a look. Besides that , the functionality of them, you can be fly and warm…Although I am still in denial winter is right around the corner. Here are some looks that caught my eye…

LOVE this pop of color the boot gives.

Here are some that I managed to stalk down…. now let me see if  can locate Santa’s bbm pin.

A Fatale Boot.

I saw these boots a few weeks ago on Nitrolicious… And since then, I have been dreaming of ways to wear them…Thinking of exactly how to get that cost per wear down to pennies. I haven’t spent a chunk of change on shoes in forever, partly because it’s shoes or food. And if you haven’t noticed I don’t miss a meal.Plus I have a cat that thinks she earns an income, and refuses to eat the generic version of fancy feast, jerk.

Gee Wa Wa Black Fatale Platform Boot ….Check em out

So far…here are some of the ways I see myself rockin’ these puppies. Santa, if you are reading this, holla at a playa. Nah mean?

Call it Spring. Aldo’s new shoe store event.

3 Sep

Wednesday after worked, I bopped to midtown after work to meet Danielle for an event at Manhattan Mall. The occassion? Aldo was introducing a shoe store, Spring, fully armed with lesser price points.

The store was to capacity, filled, with fellow bloggers, and press. We were all gifted $150 gift cards upon entry. One small thing, lol, much to my chagrin, many of the sizes were already sold out. Welp, I guess I could’ve gotten there earlier. I did manage to bump into the homies Temple of Glam, Living Fly on a Dime . And finally I met Make up by Kim Porter!

They had our tweets, identified with  #callitspring trending topic, in real time, on plasma TVs.

I was able to get one pair of Oxfords, that I am really diggin…  I will return to spend the rest of my gift card once to the store is restocked and not crawling with press.

Myself and Kim

Here are the shoes I snapped up. I think these puppied will get some burn next week, I need to make sure I’m mobile and not ready to naw my feet off during Fashion Week.

Please excuse the ash and cankles, I stayed in my pajamas all day today- what better?

                        Diggin’ these oxfords……
